Can I bring a dog?

Unfortunately dogs are not allowed on our sites.

I have a dietary requirement, can I be catered for?

Yes, but you must fill in your health form ASAP.

I don’t have a camping permit… can I still come?

You will need a camping permit to attend BEAST. You can join together with another unit – this is your responsibility.

Is there first aid on site?

All first aid will be leaders responsibility. We will have provisions on site in our Admin tent should you need further assistance.

Where can I park?

Parking is in a separate field. No vehicles, except contractors, will be allowed to drive onto the field.

I am bringing the group kit. Please can I drive onto the field to unload?

Unfortunately our site has no vehicular access, except for pre-arranged activity hire. We advise that you gather your explorers and transport the kit over together

I have an archery/rifles/ tomahawk qualification. Do you need help?

If you have a permit that you think might help us, even for a few hours, drop us an email!

Can I send my unit on a passport?

No! Please liaise with another unit to find yourself a permit holder!

Who organises The BEAST?

The BEAST is organised by a group of adult volunteers on behalf of Gloucestershire Scout Council.

I’m vegetarian, can you cater for me?

We try our best to cater for all of our attendees, to enable us to do this please fill in your health form by 25th September.

When does the price increase?

The price increases on 16th September, so make sure you get your bookings in early!

When do bookings open?
Bookings open in late June/early July!

When do bookings close?
Bookings close on 30th September.

I have some Scouts who are linking with explorers, can they come?

As long as they are members of Explorers and at least 13.5 years old, of course!
